What's New at VU

12th Annual Health and Human Values Lecture Series.  This year's theme is Profiles in Human Adversity where we examine the life of dystonia patients, HIV/AIDS in Africa, and the unique nursing experience in the throes of Hurricane Katrina.

November 15 brought Stephen Lewis, United Nations Secretary-General's Special Envoy for HIV/AIDS in Africa, to campus for the 29th Annual Distinguished Lecture in Nursing. He was a passionate, compelling speaker who addressed "Race Against Time: Finding Hope in AIDS-Ravaged Africa." If you are part of the alumni online network and can log onto the Villanova web site, you can watch his hour-long speech through Windows Media Player.
